The Liberty Mountain Ski and Snowboard School has a program for you!

Whether you are new to skiing or snowboarding or have been enjoying fun on the snow for years, our skilled instructors will make your time on the snow the best it can be. The programs listed below are available for ages 8 and over. For Liberty's children's programs, please visit our Children's Learning Center.

First Class Learn to Ski and Board Program: Especially for First Timers!

Conversion Cup Winners - 2010-11! Liberty Mountain won the industry award for best program in the nation for successfully introducing skiers and snowboarders to the sports!

Liberty Mountain introduces more people to skiing and snowboarding than most resorts in the nation. Our First Class Learn to Ski and Snowboard Package and Mountain Passport program is a tried and true method, and we guarantee your success! Forget standing in the ticket lines unsure of what to buy! Our First Class Package is as little as $60, and includes everything you need for your very first day on the slopes, including:

  • An open to close lift ticket good on the First Class Quad and the Dipsy Quad plus our moving carpet lift - you only pay for lifts you will be able use your first day!
  • Ski or snowboard rental equipment - including the new Burton Snowboard gear!
  • For your convenience, print a rental form here and complete it before your visit!
  • A class lesson that guarantees you'll learn to turn, stop, and ride a lift!
  • When your lesson is complete, you have the option of purchasing your very own Mountain Passport Card. This card entitles you to outrageously great deals designed especially with you, the beginner skier or boarder!

Please Note: You may only enjoy the amazing benefits of this program once in your lifetime...if you have had the privilege of owning a Mountain Passport, or being a passholder of any kind, in a previous season, you are not eligible for a Mountain Passport. This applies even if you are changing from skiing to snowboarding or vice versa. Sorry, some things are just too good to do more than once!!

Class Lessons

Class lessons for ages 8 and up are available every day for all ability levels. Please refer to the scheduled meeting times below and meet with your equipment on the snow side of the Learning Center. Lift ticket and rental equipment are not included. For children under age 8, please visit our Children's Learning Center page.

 Private Lessons

Private lessons provide a level of attention that only a one-on-one situation can achieve. Your instructor will be totally focused on you, and you alone! Private lessons are great for taking care of specific problems that you may be having, or for our guests who prefer not to be in a group environment. Reservations are recommended for Private Lessons. Lesson Times

Lessons for all ability levels are available every day. Learn to Package lessons form continuously through out the day. All Mountain Package and class lessons meet at the times listed below. Please plan to arrive at the resort ONE HOUR prior to your lesson time. Private lessons meet at the Learning Center desk. All other lessons meet on the snow side of the Learning Center Building.

Daily lesson times are: 10am, Noon, 2pm, 4:30pm, 5:45pm, 7pm.

Pro Rider Nate Sheehan

We'd like to welcome back our very own Pro Snowboarder Nate Sheehan. Nate grew up at Liberty and went on to compete worldwide including at the X-Games. Nate has spent the last 4 years coaching at Park City. Now he's back at Liberty and wants to continue working to help develop more great Liberty talent.  Nate will be working with the Snowboard School for Private Terrain Park lessons and specialized group clinics.
