What's New at Liberty Mountain for 2011-12?
The Excitement is Building at Liberty!
Liberty Mountain Resort is now truly a four season resort! Below
is an overview of this season's upgrades. In addition, we are
currently developing plans for the future of our resort and we look
forward to sharing those with you in the coming months. There
is a lot of excitement ahead at Liberty Mountain - we look forward
to having you with us as the future unfolds.
Resort Expansion
Upgrades to the 'New Side' of Liberty Mountain
- In May 2010, Liberty Mountain purchased the neighboring Carroll
Valley Resort more than doubling the resort's physical size and
increasing the offerings available to guests. The golf course,
additional dining options and year round conference and wedding
space only represent the beginning of our new offerings. We have
now completed renovations of all the golf side hotel rooms, have
refurbished the Ballroom and added a Board Room. Over the next few
years Liberty looks forward to developing the facilities and
amenities to their full potential. We are excited to be one of the
area's premier four season resorts with something for everyone in
every season!
On-mountain Improvements
More Automated Snowmaking - As our multi-year
project continues, we are adding another 1 million dollars in
automated snowmaking upgrades. Eastwind, Upper Strata, Vertigo and
Blue Streak Trails will all benefit from this year's investment.
Now up to 80% of the mountain will be converted to automated,
computerized snowmaking. This state-of-the-art functionality
enables us to cover the slopes quickly and much more efficiently.
Our computers not only sense and react to conditions for optimal
snowmaking, but also make adjustments for optimal energy
efficiency. These improvements make us whiter and 'greener' at the
same time!
New Loading Carpet on the Alpine Quad - Think
of it as a conveyer belt to make loading the chairlift easier! No
need to shuffle up to the loading area, just step on the moving
carpet and you'll be perfectly positioned when the chairlift comes
around. This ensures that everyone is loaded correctly and means
fewer stops to the lift…which means you get to the top faster!
Off-mountain Improvements
Renovations everywhere - Many locations around
the resort will have a bright new look! In keeping with the recent
renovations to the Alpine Market, the lower level of the lodge and
the rental shops, resort guests will appreciate similar
improvements to:
- The Eastwind & Nova Room - now brighter and with even
better views of the mountain
- The Learning Center - the main lobby and check-in area gets a
facelift
- The Children's Learning Center - upgraded for more efficient
check-in and service
- Guest Services - redesigned to serve you better
- McKee's Tavern - still the classic ski lodge tavern, but more
comfortable than ever!
- New Patio BBQ - The Alpine Patio BBQ has been so popular that
we are making it a permanent addition to the patio area. Stop by
for some of the best and most convenient food and drink on the
mountain.
Resort Digital Signage - We are making it even
easier to get the information you need. Well placed digital screens
will inform you of slope and weather conditions, upcoming events
and specials deals throughout the resort.
Online Improvements
New Website - We hope you love the new look of
Liberty Mountain Resort! The new site allows for easier navigation,
more user friendliness for making purchases, and even more social
media integration. And with all our resort changes and upgrades, we
are changed our web address to www.libertymountainresort.com
to better identify ourselves as the four season resort we have
become.
