- Helmet: The use of helmets is strongly recommended. Children age 14 and under must wear a winter sport protective helmet while participating in ski & ride school, subject to local regulations. In addition, children and teens under age 18 who participate in designated children's classes or programs must wear a helmet. Rental helmets are available at our children's ski school locations for your convenience.
- Warm clothes including moisture wicking base layers, mid layers to trap body heat, and water-resistant outerwear, warm calf-high socks, and gloves or mittens.
- Goggles or sunglasses
- Sunscreen is recommended, even on cloudy days.
- Don’t have your own gear? Rent with Liberty and let our experts fit you with the best boots, skis or snowboard for your best day on the mountain.
- Lift Access: All lesson participants must have a valid lift ticket or pass. Tickets can be purchased online with a group lesson package or separately here.
First time on mountain this season? Make sure you review and sign the waiver in your account prior to your trip.
Arriving on Mountain
You've made it! Here are some tips for your on-mountain arrival, including Express Lift Ticket Pickup if you purchased your lift tickets less than 9 days in advance.
Tips for making the most of your time on the mountain
- Visiting for the day or for the weekend? We’ve got parking for both! Be sure to follow signage upon arrival for proper parking. Note: Shuttle service is available from the resort to bubly tubing park.
- Arrive early (especially if you are taking a lesson) Allow enough time to get dressed, warmed up, and to get your rental equipment. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the start of your lesson or 60 minutes prior if you are picking up rentals.
- Start slow. The first run you see may not be the best run to start your day. We recommend the First Class or Dipsy quad chairs for first time skiers and riders. Know your limits, play it safe and play all season!
- Dress for the occasion. Just because it isn’t cold and snowy at your house doesn’t mean you should skip on the jacket. We make snow at every opportunity, so don’t forget proper eye protection, moisture wicking pants, and warm gloves! Forget something? Our on-mountain retail shop, Liberty Mountain Sports, has everything you need for a perfect day on the slopes.
- Visit us during the week! Our busiest days are on the weekends and holidays. Maximize your time and skip the crowds by planning your trip during the week.
- Stay in the know and download the My Epic app to get the latest real-time updates and alerts on the mountain.
